A 33-year-old man named David Crowe from Seattle has been arrested twice in the span of three days for stalking Taylor Swift outside her Manhattan residence, according to police reports. Crowe is facing charges of two counts of harassment and two counts of stalking after being seen near Swift’s TriBeCa home over the weekend.
The initial arrest took place on Saturday at approximately 1:30 p.m. when security personnel alerted 911 that Crowe had attempted to enter Taylor Swift’s residence. Upon checking police records, officers discovered two outstanding 2017 arrest warrants for open container and disorderly conduct in Brooklyn. Crowe was arrested on these warrants but was not initially charged for attempting to enter Swift’s home.
On Monday, around 6 p.m., Crowe returned to Swift’s building, displaying erratic behavior, as reported by a neighbor and a member of the singer’s security team. This prompted another 911 call, leading to Crowe’s arrest on charges of stalking and harassment. His arraignment is pending, and it remains unclear who is representing him in court.
It is currently unknown whether Taylor Swift was at home during these incidents, and there has been no comment from her or her publicist. Swift recently attended the playoff football game in New York between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs, where her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, serves as a tight end.
Despite these unsettling events, Taylor Swift continues to be in the spotlight with multiple Grammy nominations, including best record, best pop solo performance, best pop vocal album, album of the year, and best pop duo and group performance for various works from her recent projects.
