Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group, has intensified its assault on Israel, unleashing a barrage of over 100 rockets on northern Israel, as reported by Israeli sources.
Sunday’s Attacks On Sunday, Hezbollah targeted the city of Kiryat Shmona with heavy rocket fire, prompting the evacuation of its residents. The attacks caused damage to numerous buildings, vehicles, and critical infrastructure, leaving three Israelis lightly wounded. Additionally, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported detecting at least one rocket launched into Lebanese territory.
Monday’s Escalation The violence continued on Monday with Hezbollah launching rockets at an IDF base on the Golan Heights and deploying a drone towards the town of Metula. In response, the IDF conducted airstrikes on Hezbollah’s military compound in Baalbek, Lebanon, and targeted other sites in southern Lebanon.
Cross-border Tensions Tensions escalated further as rockets were launched from Syrian territory, prompting IDF retaliation with tank fire. Moreover, the IDF intercepted a drone originating from Iraq, allegedly targeting Israeli naval bases.
