NBC has ordered a series of Reba McEntire’s comedy “Happy’s Place”.

Reba McEntire, the country music icon turned actress, is making a triumphant return to network television with her latest sitcom venture, “Happy’s Place,” which has just received a series order from NBC. This exciting news coincides with NBC’s decision to renew “Lopez vs. Lopez” and “Night Court” for their third seasons, while opting to cancel “Extended Family” after its brief one-season run.

In “Happy’s Place,” McEntire takes on the lead role of Bobbie, a woman who unexpectedly inherits her father’s restaurant, only to be met with a surprising twist – she discovers that she now has a new business partner in the form of her long-lost half-sister, a revelation she never saw coming.

Joining McEntire in this comedic journey are a talented ensemble cast featuring Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn, promising a blend of humor, heart, and familial dynamics.

Behind the scenes, the creative forces driving “Happy’s Place” include writer Kevin Abbott, who also serves as executive producer alongside Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Julie Abbott, and, of course, Reba McEntire herself. With a team boasting a wealth of experience and talent, expectations are high for the show’s success.

What’s particularly noteworthy about “Happy’s Place” is its reunion of McEntire with key members of her beloved “Reba” team, fostering anticipation among fans who have long awaited her return to the small screen.

Having been greenlit as the first pilot of the season back in January, “Happy’s Place” has been on NBC’s radar for quite some time, and its journey from concept to series order is a testament to its potential to captivate audiences.

As McEntire embarks on this new television venture, fans can expect her trademark charm and wit to shine through, as she navigates the ups and downs of family, business, and comedy in “Happy’s Place.” With its series order secured, anticipation is building for the show’s debut, promising laughter and entertainment for viewers tuning in to NBC.
