Worm in the Membrane
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed in a deposition from several years ago that doctors once told him that a parasitic worm had eaten part of his brain before dying in his skull. During his 2012 divorce proceedings, Kennedy explained that he had experienced “cognitive problems,” including memory loss and brain fog, and feared he might have a brain tumor. According to the New York Times, Kennedy’s campaign later said he recovered completely from these symptoms after changing his diet. He also blamed mercury poisoning for his issues, but he reported no lingering effects from the parasite.
Recently, Kennedy reignited his call to debate former President Donald Trump, suggesting that they meet at the upcoming Libertarian Party convention, which he described as “perfect neutral territory.”
But Kennedy isn’t the only presidential candidate facing questions about cognition. During a recent comedy set, Jon Stewart criticized President Joe Biden (81), describing him as “so f—ing old.” Stewart noted that Trump (77) isn’t much younger, questioning why the nation might end up with one of the oldest presidents ever. “Why are we allowing this?” Stewart asked a Los Angeles audience during Netflix’s comedy festival on Friday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
