On January 29th, James Gunn, director and co-CEO of DC Studios, confirmed on Instagram that Milly Alcock would be taking on the role of Supergirl in his upcoming DC franchise overhaul.
In his post, Gunn expressed his excitement about Alcock joining the DC Universe, praising her talent and how she embodies the character of Kara as envisioned by the creators. He noted her standout performances in auditions and screen tests for Supergirl, acknowledging her initial recognition from her role in “House of the Dragon.”
