The Irish actor, recognized for his compelling performances in “Dunkirk,” “The Killing of a Sacred Deer,” “Eternals,” and “The Banshees of Inisherin,” was handed the iconic pudding pot before being treated to the 175th production titled “Heist Heist Baby!”
In a delightful roast, Keoghan, donned in a comically oversized suit and hat, found himself in a whimsical boxing match against the character “Mr. Irish Potato Famine.” The laughter continued as he participated in a quirky romantic comedy scene, concluding with a face-first encounter with a plate of spaghetti. Known for his role in “The Eternals,” Keoghan humorously admitted his initial preference for the Hulk but quickly switched to Iron Man, assuming Robert Downey Jr. might be in the audience.
The festivities took an amusing turn as Keoghan, a BAFTA award winner, accepted a colossal “BAFTUB” award, literally climbing into the bathtub-sized accolade. To cap it off, he sportingly wore a bra adorned with Morton Salt cartons and cardboard flames.
Post-roast, Keoghan expressed his gratitude, joking about feeling intellectually elevated in Harvard Square. He couldn’t resist a playful remark about “Saltburn,” particularly the scene featuring a nude dance.
In parallel news, Annette Bening, a distinguished two-time Golden Globe winner with five Oscar nominations, earned the title of the 2024 Woman of the Year from Hasty Pudding Theatricals.
Established in 1844, Hasty Pudding Theatricals, holding the third-oldest theater group status globally, has been honoring the Man of the Year since 1967. Previous recipients, including Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Robert De Niro, Harrison Ford, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ryan Reynolds, showcase the esteemed nature of the award.
