In Glastonbury, 4 Arrested in Connection With Crime Spree

In Glastonbury, Connecticut, four people have been arrested in connection with a series of crimes that took place during the winter, police said.

The investigation began in the early morning hours of February 4th, when several incidents were reported, including a break-in at the Shell gas station at 2088 Hebron Ave, a number of vehicle burglaries at nearby residences, a car theft from a home, and an armed robbery at the Mobil gas station at 2997 Main St.

Thanks to evidence collected at the scenes, search warrants, and collaboration with other agencies, Glastonbury police identified four suspects. Arrest warrants were issued for each of them, and they were arrested during the last week of April by the Glastonbury Police Department Investigations Division, with help from the Greater Hartford Regional Auto Theft Task Force, Hartford police, Waterbury police, and the FBI.

Here are the details of those charged:

Frankie Almodovar-Roman, 22, of Hartford, was arrested in Manchester on April 30. He faces charges of third-degree burglary and conspiracy, fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy, first-degree robbery and conspiracy, and larceny of a motor vehicle and conspiracy.

Nelson Colon-Davila, 23, of Hartford, was arrested in Enfield on May 1. He is charged with third-degree burglary and conspiracy, first-degree criminal mischief, fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy, first-degree robbery and conspiracy, and larceny of a motor vehicle.

Kevin Ortiz-Rivera, 21, of Hartford, was arrested in Waterbury on May 2. He faces charges of third-degree burglary and conspiracy, criminal possession of a firearm, first-degree robbery and conspiracy, first-degree threatening, reckless endangerment, fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy, and larceny of a motor vehicle and conspiracy.

Rosa Mercedes, 25, of Hartford, was arrested in Hartford on May 2. She is charged with third-degree burglary and conspiracy, fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, first-degree robbery, and larceny of a motor vehicle and conspiracy.

The coordinated effort to arrest these suspects involved multiple law enforcement agencies and highlights the complex work involved in solving such a wide-ranging crime spree.
