Slated to begin May 7, Veterans Affairs benefits and hiring fair

Central Arkansas veterans seeking new job opportunities have a chance to explore various options at a two-day hiring fair happening this week. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow and Wednesday at the First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock.

At the fair, veterans can avail themselves of medical evaluations, assistance with filing claims, and gain insights into the Pact Act. Moreover, career advisors will be available to help them polish their resumes, enhance interview skills, and connect with potential employers. It’s an excellent opportunity for networking and learning about available job positions.

“We’re excited to support Central Arkansas veterans by hosting the Benefits and Hiring Fair in Little Rock,” said Shawnta Sampson, Supervisory Program Analyst of Economic Development for VA Outreach, Transition, and Economic Development. “Veterans, transitioning service members, and their families can discover more about their benefits and engage with employers eager to hire veterans.”
