“After supplier reports potential contamination, Hy-Vee announces voluntary product recall”

Hy-Vee Inc. has taken precautionary measures by issuing a voluntary recall of certain products following a recent supplier recall. The recall includes two varieties of Hy-Vee Cream Cheese Spread and bulk-packaged Cookies & Cream Mix. While no illnesses have been reported, these products have been flagged for potential salmonella contamination.

Manufactured at various third-party facilities across the Midwest, these products are sold under Hy-Vee’s private label. The decision to recall them was made after Hy-Vee was informed by the manufacturers about the potential issue.

The affected products were distributed to businesses in Hy-Vee’s eight-state region, which includes Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. As a precautionary measure, these products have been removed from store shelves.

Customers who have purchased these products are advised to either dispose of them or return them to their local Hy-Vee store for a full refund. For any inquiries or concerns regarding this matter, customers can contact Hy-Vee Customer Care Representatives at 800-772-4098.
