The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported ongoing clashes in Khan Younis, involving ground forces from the 98th Division engaging with Hamas militants. According to the IDF, the Air Force conducted airstrikes targeting various Hamas sites in the Khan Younis area, including apartments used by operatives, weapons depots, observation posts, and staging grounds.
In a specific incident, the Paratroopers Brigade of the 98th Division identified five Hamas gunmen entering a building in Khan Younis and directed an airstrike at them. Additionally, the Maglan unit spotted four Hamas operatives who had fired an anti-tank missile earlier, leading to a targeted airstrike. The Givati Brigade reportedly eliminated a six-man Hamas cell in Khan Younis using tank shelling and sniper fire.
Moving to northern Gaza, IAF fighter jets struck several Hamas sites, including a booby-trapped building, an anti-tank launch position, and a tunnel shaft. Reservists from the 5th Brigade reportedly killed several Hamas gunmen using tank shelling and directing airstrikes in the area.
The IDF also mentioned naval strikes along the Gaza coast as part of support for Nahal Brigade troops maneuvering in the Strip. The situation remains dynamic, with the IDF actively engaged in operations against Hamas militants in various locations.
