In Houston, Texas, a tragic incident unfolded at a local McDonald’s, resulting in the fatal shooting of Jeffrey Limmer, an associate at Lewis Brisbois. Limmer, 46, intervened to defuse a dispute between a customer and employees over an order. Sadly, the confrontation escalated, and Limmer was shot after trying to calm the customer down. Despite his efforts to help, Limmer became the target of the customer’s aggression.
According to reports, the altercation spilled outside the restaurant, where Limmer attempted to intervene physically, pushing the customer to the ground. In response, the customer retrieved a gun from his car, fatally shooting Limmer before fleeing the scene in a blue Ford pickup truck.
Limmer’s sister, Jennifer Thomas, described her brother as someone who always stood up for others, emphasizing his innate desire to do what’s right. She fondly remembered him as a “good Samaritan” who intervened in the situation to help.
The perpetrator remains at large, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Those with details about the assailant are encouraged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or report anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
