Azealia Banks isn’t holding back when it comes to her thoughts on Kendrick Lamar’s latest diss track aimed at Drake, titled “Euphoria.” Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (May 1), Banks didn’t mince her words as she shared her disdain for K-Dot and his new release.
In a series of IG Story posts, Banks reacted to a Billboard article praising Kendrick’s response to Drake’s diss. She didn’t agree with the sentiment, writing, “No it was not. Kendrick is still 4’9″ and wears the same jean size as me. No one on earth cares about the feelings of small fake gangsta nepo babies…@billboard y’all really are paid for. Even the tone and timber of Kendrick’s voice is an ultimate defeat. LOL STOP LYING.”
Continuing her critique, Banks slammed the beat Kendrick raps over, calling it “dumb trash” and criticizing the mix as “muddy as hell.” She didn’t hold back in declaring Drake the winner, stating, “Drake Won. That’s it.”
In a separate post on her page, Banks didn’t hold back on her opinions about Kendrick’s stature and his music. “Kendrick Lamar is so puny runty and unf**kable there’s nothing he can do to ‘win’ anything,” she wrote. “I’m completely sorry but the little man anger is never ever going to be a thing. Kendrick is a nepo baby and that’s the only reason why he’s in the forefront.”
Banks didn’t stop there. She also weighed in on Kendrick’s lyrics referencing YNW Melly, suggesting that Drake should take legal action against Kendrick for what she perceived as a violent threat. “Drake should be petty and file against him for death threats, since prosecutors like to use rappers lyrics as evidence,” she suggested.
While Azealia Banks’ opinions on Kendrick Lamar’s diss track have sparked debate on social media, it’s clear that there’s a wide range of perspectives on the matter, with some agreeing with her sentiments and others dismissing her criticism. The evolution of rap diss tracks and what constitutes a good one is now a topic of discussion, further fueling the ongoing debate surrounding Kendrick’s “Euphoria.”
