Box truck filled with thousands worth of home goods stolen in 6 minutes in Houston crime

A cargo company in West Houston, AZ Cargo, specializes in sending home goods from Houston to Vietnam. The owner, who wished to remain anonymous, believes he was targeted in a recent theft.

Around 10:46 p.m. on Tuesday, a silver 2002 or 2003 Honda Accord drove into the strip center at 11210 Bellaire. Although there were other box trucks in the parking lot, the silver Accord headed straight for the AZ Cargo truck.

“They pointed at me. They came directly for my box truck,” the owner said.

A suspect got out of the car a few minutes later. According to the owner, the thief knew the security guard’s schedule, who arrives after 11 p.m.

By 10:49 p.m., the suspect had broken into the truck, and by 11:02 p.m., he had started it and drove away. The box truck was filled with $60,000 to $70,000 worth of home goods intended for loved ones in Vietnam, resulting in a significant loss for the owner.

“It’s hurt me a lot. I can’t sleep,” he said.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
