Doja Cat’s second look for the 2024 Met Gala after-party was nothing short of jaw-dropping.
After making a bold statement with her wet T-shirt-inspired dress on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the “Paint the Town Red” singer turned heads once again with her ensemble change.
For her after-party appearance, the 28-year-old opted for a nude shapewear piece by Vetements, paired with sheer tights, nude heel sandals, and a form-fitting top. Accentuating the look were silver stud earrings, adding a touch of glamour to the ensemble.
While Doja Cat’s final look of the evening was undeniably memorable, all her Met Gala outfits defied expectations. While others embraced floral and lace motifs in line with the “Garden of Time” theme, she opted for a simple yet striking cotton T-shirt, styled by Brett Alan Nelson.
Explaining her unconventional choice, the Grammy winner shared her rationale, stating, “I know that people were going to do flowers, so my flower of choice was the most-used flower and it’s cotton, and so I wanted to do a white T-shirt because a white T-shirt is timeless and felt very poetic and I knew it wasn’t really going to blend in. I really don’t like to blend in.”
Prior to her red carpet debut, Doja Cat teased her wet look by stepping out of the Mark Hotel in New York wearing a white bath towel wrapped around her body, with another towel in her hair.
Like many other stars, Doja Cat changed outfits for the post-Gala festivities. Kendall Jenner switched her archival all-black gown for an Alexander McQueen Givenchy dress, while Cardi B opted for a skin-tight red mermaid dress with a plunging neckline.
The 2024 Met Gala after-parties witnessed several outfit changes, showcasing the versatility and creativity of the attendees.
