Jalen Brunson does something not seen since Michael Jordan as Knicks advance past Sixers in NBA playoffs.

In an electrifying Game 6 matchup, the New York Knicks secured a vital win against the Philadelphia 76ers, propelled by another stellar performance from Jalen Brunson.

Brunson, the team’s star point guard, delivered an exceptional 41-point performance, marking his third consecutive game with over 40 points and his fourth straight with at least 37 points. This impressive feat puts him in rare company, echoing the achievements of basketball greats like Michael Jordan.

With the win secured, the Knicks now turn their focus to the Eastern Conference semifinals, where they will square off against the Indiana Pacers. Game 1 of the series is slated for Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden, airing on TNT.

The game against the Sixers was a thrilling back-and-forth affair, with the Knicks jumping out to an early 22-point lead in the first quarter. However, the Sixers staged a remarkable comeback and managed to take the lead at halftime. Despite the momentum shift, the Knicks showed resilience and regained control in the fourth quarter to clinch the victory.

Despite a standout performance from Joel Embiid, who registered 39 points and 13 rebounds for the Sixers, the team ultimately fell short of forcing a Game 7. Subpar outings from key players Tobias Harris and Kyle Lowry proved to be detrimental for the Sixers’ chances.

In the absence of Bojan Bogdanovic due to injury, the Knicks heavily relied on their starters, with Brunson, Josh Hart, Donte DiVincenzo, and OG Anunoby logging significant minutes. This strategic approach paid off handsomely, with DiVincenzo playing the entire game and making crucial contributions to the team’s success.

The victory signaled the end of an enthralling series, marked by thrilling moments and standout performances. From controversial calls to career-best displays, the series captivated basketball fans worldwide. With the win, the Knicks have bolstered their playoff aspirations and set the stage for an exciting journey ahead.
