This represents a significant moment for Edebiri, known for her role as Sydney Adamu in FX’s “The Bear.” She recently achieved a trifecta of successes, winning the supporting comedy actress Emmy for her stellar performance in the show’s first season. Notably, she also clinched both Critics Choice and Golden Globe awards for her lead comedy actress role in Season 2.
Beyond her upcoming debut as a host on “Saturday Night Live,” Edebiri has been making waves in the film industry with appearances in 2023 releases such as “Bottoms” and “Theater Camp.” As a talented writer, she has contributed to hit shows like Netflix’s “Big Mouth” and Apple TV+’s “Dickinson.” Additionally, she has played supporting roles in both series and earned a Writers Guild of America Award nomination for FX’s “What We Do in the Shadows.”
