Time is running out to claim your portion of a $35 million settlement against Apple.
This settlement applies to individuals who owned an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus between September 16, 2016, and January 3, 2023, and either reported audio issues to Apple or incurred expenses for repairing or replacing their device, as stated on the settlement website.
Allegedly, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices experienced audio problems related to the “audio IC chip,” which plaintiffs argued violated consumer protection laws and warranty terms. Apple refutes these claims.
Eligible individuals were notified via postcards or emails. If you believe you qualify but did not receive a notification, you can contact 1-833-633-0343 for assistance.
The compensation amount varies based on whether you paid for repairs or replacement out of pocket. Those with payment records can receive between $50 and $349, while individuals who reported the issue to Apple without incurring expenses may receive up to $125.
Claims must be filed by June 3, and a final court hearing on the settlement is scheduled for July 18.
