Walmart has just introduced its largest private grocery brand in twenty years, as revealed in a press release on Tuesday.
The new brand, named bettergoods, promises “an elevated experience that offers quality, distinctive, chef-inspired food at an amazing value,” according to Walmart.
With most items priced at less than $5 and a range from under $2 to under $15, bettergoods aims to provide affordability without compromising on quality.
Walmart plans to roll out at least 300 bettergoods products in the coming months, with items already available both in stores and online. Shoppers can enjoy the convenience of curbside pickup and same-day delivery for bettergoods products.
Spanning various grocery categories including frozen foods, dairy, beverages, snacks, soups, pasta, and coffee, bettergoods encompasses a diverse range of options. These items are divided into three categories: “culinary experiences,” “plant-based,” and “made without,” catering to different dietary preferences and lifestyles.
Walmart emphasizes that bettergoods reflects their commitment to meeting the evolving expectations of customers when it comes to private brands.
“Bettergoods is more than just a new private brand. It’s a commitment to our customers that they can enjoy unique culinary flavors at the incredible value Walmart delivers,” stated Scott Morris, senior vice president of private brands, food, and consumables at Walmart.
