Following a tough loss to UCLA, Oregon women’s basketball coach Kelly Graves addressed questions about his future with the team. Despite the Ducks’ struggles this season, Graves remains confident and unfazed about his job security.

Oregon’s current nine-game losing streak has left them at the bottom of the Pac-12 standings. However, Graves emphasized that he is not worried about his position. He highlighted the team’s effort and attitude, indicating that the players are still committed despite the challenges they face.

The Ducks have faced a tough stretch in their schedule, with eight of their nine recent losses coming against ranked opponents. Despite this, Graves remains focused on the team’s previous successes, including a Final Four appearance in 2019.

Acknowledging the high standards set by the program in recent years, Graves emphasized the need for improvement. He mentioned recruiting and utilizing the transfer portal as key strategies for bolstering the roster in the offseason.

Looking ahead, Oregon has four remaining games before the Pac-12 tournament, providing opportunities to turn things around. Graves expressed determination to work with the current players and continue recruiting efforts to elevate the team’s performance.

Despite the challenges, Graves remains resolute and committed to restoring the team to its former success. He emphasized that while the current situation may be difficult, it does not diminish the accomplishments of the program in recent years.

In conclusion, Graves remains optimistic about the future of Oregon women’s basketball, recognizing the work ahead while staying focused on the team’s potential for improvement.
