During a press conference, Aaron Hummel, Chief of Operations for the Boise Fire Department, described the incident as a “large-scale collapse of the building’s framework.” The collapse occurred amidst ongoing construction work and also led to the destruction of a crane, intensifying the gravity of the situation.
At the site, three lives were lost, and an additional nine individuals sustained injuries, as conveyed by the City of Boise in a statement released on Wednesday.
