After SC’s Justice Athar Minallah was heckled in London, PTI issues condemnation

Late on Saturday night, condemnation ensued as videos circulated of Justice Minallah facing harassment and heckling on the streets of London. The footage depicted the judge being escorted to a car while a group of individuals shouted slogans, expressing support for the PTI and denouncing the army. Justice Minallah was attending the ‘Future of Pakistan Conference’ at the London School of Economics. In response to the incident, PTI UK strongly condemned the treatment, emphasizing that the individuals involved did not represent PTI, and PTI UK did not endorse such behavior. Jahanzeb Khan, the senior vice president of PTI UK, asserted that some individuals, wrongly identified as PTI supporters, collaborate with journalists sympathetic to the N league in London. He alleged that orchestrated situations involving these individuals aim to create commotion during visits by Pakistani government officials, intending to blame PTI and spread a negative narrative. Taimur Saleem Khan Jhagra from PTI stressed that there was no justification for heckling Justice Athar Minallah in London. Journalist Zarrar Khuhro pointed out the irony that Justice Minallah had provided relief despite facing pressure. This incident follows previous instances of PTI supporters heckling judges and politicians in London.
