Britney Spears Fires Back at Justin Timberlake for “Talking S–t” at His Concert

Britney Spears didn’t hold back after Justin Timberlake seemed to throw shade at her during a recent concert, defiantly calling him out for “talking s–t.” The drama unfolded when Timberlake, singing his 2002 hit “Cry Me a River,” declared to the crowd, “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f–king nobody.” In response, Britney took to Instagram the next day with a bold message.

In her post, accompanied by a photo of the moon framed inside a basketball net, Britney wrote, “Someone told me someone was talking shit about me on the streets!!! Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time??? I’m not sorry!!!”

Tensions between the exes escalated after the release of Britney’s memoir, “The Woman in Me,” in October, where she shared intimate details of their three-year relationship. Notably, she revealed being pregnant with Justin’s baby and undergoing an abortion, as well as the heartbreaking breakup via text in 2002.

Despite the controversy, Britney recently extended an olive branch, praising Justin’s new music and expressing regret for some aspects of her book. In a now-deleted post on Jan. 29, she apologized, saying, “I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about, I am deeply sorry.”

She also complimented Timberlake’s song “Selfish,” stating, “It is soo good.” Meanwhile, Justin, who had previously apologized to Britney after the release of the documentary “Framing Britney Spears,” has maintained a mostly quiet stance on the recent developments. In a 2021 Instagram post, he expressed remorse for contributing to the problem and acknowledged falling short in certain moments.
