“Britney Spears seemingly fires back at Justin Timberlake: ‘Go home crying to your mom'”

Britney Spears didn’t hold back after her ex, Justin Timberlake, seemed to take a dig at her during a surprise concert in New York City. When Timberlake performed his hit “Cry Me a River” and added a provocative apology, fans immediately speculated it was aimed at Spears.

Taking to Instagram the next day, Spears posted a photo of a basketball hoop with a pointed caption suggesting she was ready to confront the situation head-on. While neither Spears nor Timberlake confirmed their exchange was about each other, their rocky history adds fuel to the fire.

Timberlake’s song “Cry Me a River” famously addressed their breakup amid rumors of Spears’ infidelity, a narrative Spears challenged in her 2023 memoir. In it, she criticized Timberlake’s portrayal of her in the song’s music video and the subsequent media backlash.

Spears’ reference to basketball likely alluded to their past, where she claimed Timberlake would “cry” after losing to her on the court. Fans came to Spears’ defense on social media, accusing Timberlake of exploiting their relationship for publicity, especially with his new album on the horizon.

The back-and-forth between Spears and Timberlake reignited old flames and stirred up plenty of drama, leaving fans eagerly watching for any further developments in this ongoing saga.
