JuJu Watkins of USC keys upset of Stanford with an explosive 51-point performance.

JuJu Watkins, a freshman for the USC Trojans, made headlines on Friday night by scoring an astonishing 51 points in a game against the Stanford Cardinal. This remarkable feat not only set a new record for USC but also marked the highest individual scoring performance in NCAA women’s basketball this season.

Throughout the game, Watkins showcased her incredible talent, sinking six 3-pointers and contributing crucial free throws in the closing moments to secure a 67-58 victory for the Trojans. Her performance was nothing short of spectacular, as she accounted for a staggering 76% of USC’s total points.

Despite Stanford’s efforts to contain her, Watkins proved unstoppable, delivering one of the most impressive individual performances in recent college basketball history. Even the strong defensive presence of Stanford star Cameron Brink, who recorded 19 points, 15 rebounds, and eight blocked shots, couldn’t slow down Watkins’ offensive onslaught.

This win was significant for USC, not only because it marked their first victory at Stanford’s home court this season but also because it showcased the team’s resilience and potential. With Watkins leading the charge, the Trojans have shown that they are a force to be reckoned with in the Pac-12 conference.

As USC savors this historic win, they look ahead to future matchups with confidence, knowing that they have a standout player in Watkins who can deliver game-changing performances.
