Just Debunked Claims That Kate Middleton Was in a Coma, The Royals

The palace has stepped forward to address the recent speculations surrounding the health of Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, after erroneous reports surfaced claiming she was placed in a medically induced coma following surgery.

Reports emerged following Middleton’s undisclosed abdominal surgery, with journalist Concha Calleja making unfounded claims on a Spanish news show that Middleton was put in a coma due to complications. However, a palace source swiftly debunked these rumors, labeling them as “total nonsense” and emphasizing that there was no truth to the allegations.

According to the insider, there was no effort made by the journalist to verify the claims with official sources, leading to the dissemination of false information. The palace source categorically stated that the reports were fabricated and lacked any basis in reality.

Calleja’s initial report suggested that Middleton’s condition was dire and that she required extensive medical intervention, including being placed in an induced coma and intubated. However, these claims have been refuted by the palace, which confirmed that Middleton’s surgery had no such complications.

On January 17, Kensington Palace officially announced Middleton’s planned surgery, which took place at the London Clinic. While the specific details of the surgery were not disclosed, it was clarified that it was unrelated to cancer. Middleton remained in the hospital for a brief period, during which she received visits from her husband, Prince William, and father-in-law, King Charles, who was also undergoing medical treatment.

Nearly two weeks after her surgery, Middleton was discharged from the hospital on January 29 and was reported to be making good progress in her recovery. The palace expressed gratitude to the medical staff at The London Clinic for their care and support during Middleton’s stay.

Despite her ongoing recovery, Middleton is expected to refrain from public engagements until after Easter, allowing her ample time to recuperate fully.

In summary, the palace’s swift response aimed to dispel the unfounded rumors surrounding Middleton’s health and provide clarity on her condition to the public.
