Tina Charles, a seasoned forward and former top draft pick from UConn in 2010, brings extensive experience and accolades to the Dream. With two NCAA titles and a WNBA MVP award, Charles is known for her scoring ability and rebounding prowess. Guard Jordin Canada joins the Dream in a sign-and-trade deal with the Los Angeles Sparks, adding defensive skill and depth to the roster. Coming off a standout season with career-best stats, Canada’s presence strengthens the team’s backcourt.
In exchange for Canada, the Dream traded guard Aari McDonald and their No. 8 draft pick to the Sparks. This move enhances the Sparks’ draft position while solidifying the Dream’s roster with established talent.
