Joe Biden Tells Katie Couric That Journalists Have Told Him Of Their Fears If Donald Trump Returns To White House: “He’s Threatened To Put Them In Jail”

During a fundraiser in the Bay Area, Joe Biden noticed Katie Couric among the attendees and shared a striking remark. He mentioned that two former colleagues, without naming them, had confided in him about their concerns of having to leave the country if Trump were to win, fearing potential repercussions from his administration. Biden’s comment was part of a broader discussion about Trump’s behavior, particularly his endorsement of political violence, which Biden emphasized as unprecedented since the Civil War.

The fundraiser took place at the residence of Robert Klein, a real estate developer based in Los Altos Hills. This event marked the end of Biden’s fundraising tour on the West Coast, which also included a gathering at Haim Saban’s Los Angeles home earlier in the week. Biden has been known to offer candid remarks in such intimate settings, including his characterization of Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “crazy SOB.”

In his interactions with donors, Biden has increasingly highlighted the contrast between himself and Trump, positioning himself as a preferable alternative. Reflecting on his presidency, Biden remarked, “I’m not the gift of all presidents, but I’m sure as hell better than the last guy.”
